George, you’re right when you say their assumption is “because another individual is linked to a non-marginalized group, he must be the Rock of Gibraltar, able to take any and all (no doubt, much deserved!) criticism.”

We should all be appalled at what has happened to Tim. Not only was he slandered in a classwide email by his instructor, which is bad enough, but also he was outed by his full name in the Independent so they could make the larger case of some “conservative conspiracy” at work. (Other reporters, including yours truly, had respect for Tim, understanding he had not asked for such attention.) The Indy said Jerry Agar named him on his show ? he did no such thing. Now gay activists are “portraying” him in plays in the Pit.

Word is that Tim has “gone underground,” doing anything to regain his anonymity and go back to being a simple student. He is the victim here, and he is continuing to be victimized by the same vicious people who are so screwed up they call speech “violence” and try to dictate exactly which kinds of people that anti-discrimination codes are really “meant to protect” (so they can continue to attack Tim with a clear conscience).

This kid has been demonized on campus for the crime of joining in a classroom discussion. There is no excuse for what Elyse Crystall did to him, there is no excuse for what the Indy did to him, and there is no excuse for what the gay activists are doing to him. It is atrocious.
