Former CMPD officer Marcus Jackson is due in court today, the first step in what local officials have promised will be a vigorous prosecution of the sexual assault charges lodged against Jackson.
We shall see. My money is still on a plea deal. Jackson has been in the Mecklenburg County jail since his December 30th arrest — a copious amount of time served with which to bargain.
