John Kerry’s yacht is named The Scaramouche, apparently after the main character in the 1921 Rafael Sabatini novel of the same name.

The hero of the novel is a rascally Frenchman. He is a scaramouche, which is the French translation of the Italian Scaramuccia. What, you might ask, is a scaramouche? My dictionary defines it as “a boastful coward or buffoon.”
