Former vice president Al Gore was at Duke yesterday and he’s still making incredible statements about climate change despite months and months of disclosures and questions over the validity of the data upon which much of the alarmist movement is based. From the Duke Chronicle (emphasis is mine)

Even though some commentators still question the validity of the science behind climate change, Gore said the evidence in favor of a warming trend cannot be dismissed.

“The science is as solid as science ever gets,” he said. “Maybe gravity is more firmly established.”

The Heartland Institute’s James Taylor put it best in a March piece he wrote about Al Gore’s writings and comments on climate change: (emphasis is mine)

Throughout his editorial, Gore adheres to his predictable, misleading propaganda points that by now we all know by heart. For example, he again refers to his alarmism as embodying “the overwhelming consensus,” yet even disgraced global warming alarmist Phil Jones – the central figure in the Climategate scandal – has acknowledged there is no overwhelming scientific consensus that “the debate is over.” Indeed, Jones himself, who is among the most prominent and activist scientists pushing Al Gore’s alarmism, admitted he personally does not think the debate is over, either.
