If you were alive in 1960, the name Francis Gary Powers likely rings a bell. Even younger people know the name if they’ve spent much time studying Cold War history.
The son of the famous downed U-2 spy plane pilot shared some of that history during a presentation today to the John Locke Foundation’s Shaftesbury Society. In the video clip below, Francis Gary Powers Jr. describes his father’s approach to interrogation from his Soviet captors.
