Tom and Sandi Anton appear to be great American heroes. They wrote a letter to the City of Asheville asking if they could take over the Asheville Film Festival. The festival airs indie flicks in local theaters for a few days in November. The city has been running the event at a loss totaling $183,060 in tax dollars over the last six years. Anton thinks he can invest in some market-friendly changes to make the festival profitable. The city is seriously entertaining the proposal.
