There is an interesting short article (in the Rhino Times) on how the distribution of the sales taxes to the counties across the state were basically a month behind due to a small glitch in the calculation that will always remain a month in arrears.

Interestingly enough, it appears that those who voted on it as well as those who lobbied for it (like the League of Municipalities and Association of County Commisioners) were not aware of the shortchange.

Then again, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised!
