A crowd of nearly 100 people gathered in Research Triangle Park Saturday for the Pope Center’s annual conference on higher education, hosted by George Leef. The audience heard from scholars on the rising cost of a degree, the decline in rigor of literature and writing courses as well the core curriculum, the move toward speech codes and restrictions on discussions of politically incorrect subjects, the radical feminist agenda pushed by UNC’s women’s studies programs, and more. Among the moderators were JLF’s Karen Palasek and Donna Martinez.
