This new video refutes the standard views that Hoover’s laissez-faire philosophy was responsible for the Depression and that FDR’s New Deal interventionism saved the day. Hoover was NOT a laissez-faire advocate, but instead the model Big Government Republican. Moreover, the socialistic New Deal, far from helping the nation recover from the Depression, made matters much worse.
