Yesterday, the Graham County Sheriff and some of his deputies burned seven pounds of illegal drugs that had been seized. Sheriff Danny Millsaps is pictured standing too close to the smoke for my taste. He says, “Anytime you can take drugs out of people’s hands, it’s an improvement.” I disagree, counting the improvement to me more like, “anytime people can take cravings out of their own minds.” But I digress.

Millsaps has some advice for local druggies:

“If I was somebody that really liked drugs, I’d move to Colorado,” Millsaps said. “You go there and get a medical card for marijuana and smoke all of it you want. Why risk living in Graham County and getting caught with it when you could move out there and have all of it you want?”
