The nanny state keeps getting bigger and more meddlesome, now dictating how much water people are permitted to use, and threatening legal action against firms that produce products (in this instance, shower heads) that don’t comply with regulations.
This article by Jeff Tucker should get you steamed. I’m sure that government controls on water temperature will be coming along eventually, to make sure that you don’t get steamed.
And the whole hot water image reminds me of the old saying about a frog and boiling water. A frog jumps right out of boiling water, but if you put it in cool water and very slowly raise the temperature, he doesn’t know what’s going on until it’s too late.
That’s what is happening to freedom in the U.S. It’s disappearing in minute increments, arousing no action from us frogs.
