The City of Asheville wants people from anywhere to weigh in on a draft of the form-based code for the River Arts District. I won’t be doing this for two reasons: (1) I don’t live there. If people want to overregulate themselves, that’s none of my business. However, I expect real artists don’t want to be forced into a box. But that’s OK. If the structure attracts New Urbanist faux artists who can’t sell their wannabe art, then they will need more government subsidy to attract tourists, and that is a good thing these days, I is-pose. (2) I need to register with a username and password to comment. When does it end?
