The writer is Will Grigg and this piece shows that he really understands the implications of ObamaCare. “Dr. Leviathan,” has he puts it, will not deliver high quality health services. I suppose that Obama, Pelosi and the rest of that gang of power-crazed politicians think that THEY will always get top quality medical care and they’re probably right, but for the rest of America, the result of ObamaCare will be gradual deterioration and extended waiting times.

And yet, there are politicians and editorial writers who tell us gushingly that the bill means “high quality care of every American.” Are these people really incapable of thinking through the long-run consequences? Is it some genetic defect that makes them unable to see that government meddling always has bad, unintended consequences? If someone were to introduce a bill (let’s call it the End Poverty in America Act) that would accomplish its stated aim by mandating a minimum wage of $50 per hour so everyone could have “a decent standard of living” would the writers at the New York Times understand that it would just lead to massive unemployment? If Obama said he wanted that, I bet they’d go right along.
