A couple of years ago, a kid told by his principal not to fly the American flag on his bike for fear of angering illegal immigrants would have gotten a blurb in the local paper, a couple of blog posts and then would go where most news stories go to die. But that doesn’t happen anymore. Instead, hundreds of people come out in support of the kid and ride to school WITH him with their own flags flying. Check it out:
The Tea Party movement has sensitized normal, God-fearing, hard-working Americans to the outrageous acts of politically correct bureaucrats and elected officials. They have learned to read blog posts and online news services that follow these kinds of outrages, and instead of sitting at home shaking their heads, they mobilize like antibodies attacking a virus. The attacks on basic American values are not being taken lightly anymore, and we can thank the Tea Party movement for that.
