Now that the governor has released his budget plan, it’s time for state lawmakers to decide what to do with it. On this weekend’s Carolina Journal Radio, you’ll hear some ideas from two chief legislative budget writers — Rep. Jim Crawford and Sen. Linda Garrou — and Joe Coletti.

Speaking of the budget, some legislative fiscal staffers will outline factors that contribute to the growth of the education budget, and Sens. Fred Smith and Tony Rand will outline the pros and cons of the Taxpayer Protection Act.

John Hood will discuss the aftermath of the Jim Black pleas, and Chad Adams will talk about the dangers of forced annexation in North Carolina.
