House Speaker Thom Tillis today said that everything is on the table when it comes to Charlotte Douglas International Airport and that at minimum, if the airport comes under the control of a regional authority, then Charlotte would have a larger share of appointments than under a proposal that passed the Senate. He said there’s no rush to transfer pass a law and that he looked forward to a city proposal about control of the airport. An agreement that all parties can agree to, or at least live with, is far superior to a resolution imposed by the state. Good to see someone in power in Raleigh recognize that fact.
