In this excellent Wall Street Journal pieceprofessor Thomas Szasz argues that we’re leaving something important out of the debate over the Obama regime’s national health care proposal — the fact that it will mean the loss of freedom for Americans.
Szasz writes, “We will become the voluntary slaves of a ‘compassionate’ government that will provide the same low quality health care to everyone.”
He is right. This debate should not just be about efficiency and inefficiency, but also about liberty. More of it will be whittled away if the knaves in Washington force us into their system.
