When former Smithfield-Selma High School teacher Jeff Ferguson (dismissed after a classroom demonstration which caused thirteen students to throw up) was asked whether he’d do it again, and what he’s learned from the controversy, he hedged on the first question. To the second, he replied, “I learned you gotta cover your butt, or you’re gonna get toasted.”
His appeal for reinstatement is under consideration.
