Leave it to the NOW gang to provide laughs with the latest installment of their silly and tired game of political correctness. This time they’re trying to reel in women with insecurities about their bodies — no doubt due to some neanderthal brute who’s oppressing them. It seems NOW received 2,500 entries in its recent “Love Your Body Day” poster contest. NOW President Kim Gandy describes the winning design as a “wonderful antidote to the negative, degrading images of the female body that we see constantly in the media. The woman in the poster is a fusion of body parts of different shapes, sizes, and colors that merge into a beautiful, harmonious whole.” Hey, I feel better about myself already. Unfortunately, the poster contains body parts I wouldn’t feel comfortable posting on this blog, so you’ll have to visit the site yourself for that treat. When you do, be sure to read down the story for this gem of a double entendre.

“Love Your Body Day is about celebrating the whole woman,” Gandy said. “The number of posters we’ve received this year shows that thousands of women and girls around the world are doing just that.”

Hey, whatever it takes to make a feminist smile is fine with me.
