Police agencies always claim they don’t have quotas for traffic tickets. Then someone explain to me why there are always Highway Patrol cars and/or city cops on the Raleigh-Chapel Hill Expressway between I-40 and Blue Ridge Road only on the last couple of days each month. Today I saw a trooper car that had pulled over a speeder and a city cop (I think) on a motorcycle with a radar gun. Yesterday I saw two trooper cars that had pulled drivers over.

Tomorrow is the first day of the month. I don’t think they’ll be out there. Just coincidence, I guess. And, no, I didn’t get a ticket, if that’s what you’re thinking.

Maybe commenter Eric can give us the skinny on this.
