The Senator from Fayetteville seems determined to kill Medicaid reform. Counties in North Carolina pay 15% of the state share for Medicaid. We’ve suggested ending that burden
entirely. A proposal in the House would at least cap the amount, like
New York has done. Other states only require counties to pay
administrative costs, which NC counties also do.
