I’ve mentioned here before how much I used to like downtown Hendersonville. It was a quaint, turn-of-the-old-century town. Then, it got all mainstreety and turned itself into a maze of foolishness typically disrupted with new construction. Now, private donors would like the city to enhance Main Street even more.
I won’t stop them, though. If property owners want to pay taxes to maintain psychedelic bears and fountains, that’s their business.
