It is a well-established fact that if you are not elected or appointed to public office, you are an idiot. What’s alarming is that you may own land. To save the planet, the Cradle of Forestry Interpretive Association, North Carolina Division of Forest Resources, NC Cooperative Extension Service, US Forest Service Cradle of Forestry in America, North Carolina Arboretum, NC Woodlands, Soil and Water Environmental Technology Center, and Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy are offering workshops to teach landowners how to manage their land.
Participants will also learn about how to protect structures using Firewise landscaping and construction techniques and incentive programs that are available to help. Participants receive equipment to help manage their land and will meet agency representatives and others available to help.
It is mighty kind of government to condescend and pretend we’re educable, but wouldn’t it feeeel better for them to just take our lands?
