Former Panthers star Ricky Proehl scores big as Guilford County commissioners vote 9-0 to allow a special use permit for his Proehlific Park.

One of the major concerns from residents in the area was the traffic along Jessup Grove Road, where the entrance to the park will be.

Proehl told commissioners his original plan called for the entrance to be off Horsepen Creek Road, but the N.C. Department of Transportation changed the plan. The traffic engineer who spoke said NCDOT is treating Horsepen Creek like N.C. 68 with as few entrances and exits right off the road as possible.

That might be an indicator of where the area is heading.
