Though the press turnout for JLF‘s recent transit-tax debate was laudable, the coverage was scant. We got blurbs on television from WBT, WSOC, WCNC, WCCB, and News 14. WBT gave us time on the radio. Although a reporter from the Charlotte Observer was in attendance, the focus of the eventual piece leaned pro-transit tax. Somehow, the reporter thought that capturing the duration of the event was somehow more important than stressing our side of the issue; namely that the transit plan is flawed.
