In an excellent article on NRO, Marlo Lewis of Competitive Enterprise Institute examines the superheated rhetoric of environmental zealots (specifically RFK, Jr.). He claims that those who don’t agree that we face a crisis and must take drastic action immediately are guilty of treason.

While there is no possibility of an actual prosecution of any of us “deniers” for treason, there is a lot that a determined president could do to make companies and institutions that say the wrong things suffer if they persist in speaking out. The abuse of executive branch power against lists of enemies is nothing new.
