Wow. Didn’t see this one coming. Evidently no one else did either. Not only is Carolina in the market for a new DC, three other defensive coaches have moved on as well. All in the matter of 24 hours.
Hmmm, the obvious question — did Julius Peppers announcing he was not coming back impact these decisions in any way?
In any event, a new DC for the Panthers. Will it be an experienced DC with his own schemes, or a caretaker for Foxy? Maybe the Big Cat does not like the idea of fighting to reach .500 next year.
Update: Jim Haslett and Herm Edwards are two names are being floated for the DC slot, assuming Edward gets canned from the HC job in KC.
