The Greensboro News & Record published in the past week Carolina Journal Radio Co-Host Donna Martinez‘s column urging people to take a leadership role in helping their neighbors recover from the economic downturn. The News & Record‘s “Mixing It Up” column quoted a pair of entries from Piedmont Publus blogger Sam Hieb. Both focused on questionable use of federal tax dollars for local projects.

A News & Record editorial on tax reform quoted a column from John Hood. Hood discussed North Carolina’s status as a battleground state during a presentation at the N.C, Museum of History. The Midtown Raleigh News and North Raleigh News promoted that appearance. 

Becki Gray continues her semiweekly politics and public policy updates for WTSB Radio listeners. Gray also headed to Vance County this week to speak at local Republicans’ “Reclaim America” rally at Vance-Henderson Community College. The Waynesville Mountaineer promoted Gray and John Locke Foundation Executive Vice President Kory Swanson‘s upcoming appearance next week at a Tea Party event in Haywood County.
