Another stimulus project in WNC, it seems these projects are all over.  How would we ever function without tax-payer dollars? (My Sarcasm)

From the Citizen-Times:

The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians has requested $18 million in federal stimulus money, its top elected leader said Friday.

The tribe so far has been allocated $1.3 million, according to U.S. Department of the Interior. The bulk of that – $1.2 million – will be spent on road and bridge projects on the Cherokee Indian Reservation.
