Anna Giaritelli of the Washington Examiner details new survey information that will disappoint media critics of President Trump.

Almost half of US voters believe major news organizations make up stories about President Trump and his administration, according to a Morning Consult/Politico poll released Wednesday.

The Oct. 12-16 survey found 46 percent of registered voters think large outlets fabricate news about Trump, while 37 percent disagree. Three-in-four Republicans think the media creates fake news about the president.

Trump has denied recent NBC reports that he wanted a 10-fold increase of the country’s nuclear arsenal and that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called his boss a “moron.” Trump then proposed rescinding NBC’s broadcasting license.

“With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!” Trump tweeted last week. …

… A majority of voters, 51 percent, say the government should not have the power to revoke broadcast licenses of these news organizations.
