N&R reports 27 candidates from 15 different states have applied for the Guilford County Schools superintendent’s job vacated by Maurice “Mo” Green, who bolted for the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation earlier this month.
At Thursday night’s meeting, the GCS board was presented with information gathered at forums regarding “preferred characteristics of the next superintendent.” The top characteristic? What else—-the ability “to effectively advocate for resources needed to operate the schools.”
