Hillsborough’s Hog Day is going green, say the organizers. This weekend’s event, known for attracting tens of thousands of barbecue lovers, evidently will be a trash-free event. I’ve never seen a single person eat a plate of barbecue without creating trash. So how is that accomplished with 35,000 or so people? If the organizers can accomplish this, my hat’s off to them. And I might invite them to my house for a tutorial. I pay about $250 a year for trash removal.
