The guys at WFNZ nailed this I think just yesterday or the day before. It has been two weeks, time for more layoffs from the Bobjohnsons. Sure enough, Rick Bonnell is saying the team’s “community relations” staff is in the crosshairs now.
That would be classic Bobjohnson timing. As we pointed out the other day, the team is having an open house for fans on Saturday. Pink slip the employees who set it up on Friday?

Update: Yep, here’s the news release on the layoffs. And does it sound to anyone else like the team is setting the city up for bailout plea? After all, we just re-did our agreement with NASCAR…..
