I agree that last night’s ragged title game between UConn and Butler is symbolic of the poor quality of play in college basketball this season.
It’s a lucky thing for UConn that Butler’s shots weren’t falling. It’s not as if the Bulldogs were clanging —-they had good looks, and not only were they quicker on the ball, they handled it better, too.
Still, UConn’s run through the Big East tournament is pretty incredible. Five games in five days has before rendered the conference champ useless in the NCAA tourney.
