A unanimous three-judge panel of the N.C. Court of Appeals ruled this morning that there was no error when a Catawba County Superior Court judge unsealed search warrants in November 2010 linked to the high-profile Zahra Baker case. The state had appealed the judge’s action, which had responded to news media requests.

In another opinion released this morning, a unanimous three-judge panel affirmed a lower-court ruling favoring the Lee County school board in a dispute with a bus driver fired because a medical condition prevented her from fulfilling her job duties.
