The latest from the NC Institute of Medicine show the growth of the uninsured in North Carolina as employers have stopped providing health insurance either to save money or because the company is out of business.
These numbers show the problems with ERISA and the need for a larger individual insurance market.
As a recent paper found, “For people in poor or fair health, the chances of losing coverage are much greater for people who had small-group insurance than for those who had individual insurance.”
