Now that we’ve witnessed the recent defections from the AFL-CIO, George Leef’s new book, Free Choice For Workers: A History of the Right to Work Movement, is generating lots of interest from media and public policy think tanks. Leef has been interviewed by radio stations in Bowling Green and Portland, and his commentary about unionism being rooted in coercion rather than consent was published on the web site of the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs. Next Thursday, Leef and his book hit the national stage when he joins a Heritage Foundation panel in Washington D.C. to discuss the American labor movement.
