According to the N.C. Association of County Commissioners, 11 counties have scheduled referendums this fall on the real-estate transfer tax. They are Brunswick, Chatham, Gates, Hoke, Macon, Moore, Pamlico, Pender, Polk, Union and Washington counties.
Seven counties are planning referendums on the quarter-cent sales-tax increase. They are Duplin, Greene, Lenoir, Martin, Pitt, Sampson and Surry counties.
Three counties will put both tax increases on the ballot. They are Davie, Harnett and Johnston counties.
