OK, says here that Charlotte will lose 5 Starbucks outlets, including the one Magic Johnson opened over off of Wilkinson Blvd. All-in-all, that is fewer stores than I thought.
The one at Providence and Sharon Amity is not a surprise loss as that intersection is a nightmare. And I do not know that my stop was representative, but Magic’s Starbucks required repeated reminders to the staff of what it was you ordered — and even then the whole operation was a crap shoot. Might get what you ordered, might not.
Sketchy staff is quite obviously the problem with many underperforming stores. It is hard to deliver-up the bean juice in the proper fashion, certainly to make it worth $3 or $4.
