Three of the state’s top radio talk show hosts turned to John Locke Foundation experts this week to discuss education issues. Curtis Wright with Wilmington’s WLTT quizzed Education Policy Analyst Terry Stoops about a state budget deal that left many difficult spending decisions in the hands of local school boards. Meanwhile, Lockwood Phillips of WTKF Radio asked Lindalyn Kakadelis of the N.C. Education Alliance about a new lawsuit from the N.C. Institute for Constitutional Law. The suit challenges state funding rules for public charter schools. In other news, Scott Fitzgerald of WPTF interviewed JLF communications director Mitch Kokai about Stoops’ new checklist for school board candidates and voters.
