The John Locke Foundation’s resident historian, Troy Kickler of the N.C. History Project, recently took his knowledge on the road. Kickler joined a star-studded panel of historians presenting their research during Claremont Institute panel discussions at the 2008 annual meeting of the American Political Science Association. Kickler’s presentation on Nathaniel Macon was tied to a discussion of “Religion, Tolerance, and the Rule of Law in the Early Republic.” While Kickler shared his expertise in person, newspaper readers on both coasts learned more about the E.A. Morris Fellowship for Emerging Leaders. Business journals in Philadelphia and San Francisco picked up on a Triangle-based article quoting Karen Palasek, JLF Director of Educational and Academic Programs.
