violation of California Rep. Randy “Duke” Cunningham.  This story
has made top news headlines across the country, while the sentencing of
former U.S. Rep Frank Ballance barely made its way into national news.  The ethics violations of Ballance, instead of garnering national admonitions, have earned him a farewell luncheon.  Other issues of note include the support by U.S. Sen.
