Richard Wagner loves to instill the values of good writing in young children. What better way is there to do that than by introducing them to a well-written book on a popular pastime? On a recent book tour in Texas, Richard stopped at T.J. Austin Elementary School in Tyler to speak about his book, Little League Heaven. While kids in Texas were learning about the value of mentors and good writing, an assembly of students in Archdale were sponging up information about John Locke, provided courtesy of Troy Kickler and the NC History Project. The myopic gaze of youngsters overly captivated wasn’t to be seen. The event was a huge success, and Troy left with a form-fitting T-shirt memorializing the event.
