This would not bug me except for the fact that I always link to UPoR material, if not both link and credit the publication, if not link, mention the publication, and the reporter. I don’t have to do that — not if I do not directly quote anything and it is not “hot news.” I could just talk in generalities while adding my commentary and/or original reporting. People would figure it out.

But I want to make things easy on readers — I am not a good enough writer to do otherwise. So I link for background, quote for clarity, credit for decency and courtesy. Guess that makes me a sucker.
