I was in Charlotte over the weekend and when I saw this morning’s Observer front-pager on injured poultry plant workers, I wondered if the Meck Deck’s Jeff Taylor would weigh in.
OK, it’s the type of investigative piece that I recently complained was missing at the N&R, but piling on with an accompanying piece, a lead editorial and Rick Thames’ (so far unposted) column is the type of advocacy journalism the guys down on East Market Street could be proud of. But I’m not sure what more the Observer can add in the five parts yet to come.
