The author of the John Locke Foundation’s new book chapter on tax reform, Vice President for Research and Resident Scholar Roy Cordato, discussed the USA Tax proposal during an interview with Chad Adams’ morning radio program on WLTT. The Greensboro News & Record‘s “Short Stack” cited Cordato’s USA Tax proposal as well.
Cordato also earned television airtime this week with News 14 Carolina’s “Capital Tonight.” He discussed North Carolina’s misguided subsidies for the renewable energy industry during an interview segment for that statewide program.
Another chapter in JLF’s new First In Freedom book covers regulatory reform. Chapter author and Director of Regulatory Studies Jon Sanders released a new Spotlight report this week detailing problems associated with North Carolina’s overly aggressive approach to occupational licensing. Sanders’ column on reining in state rulemaking procedures attracted attention from N.C. Senate Republicans in their daily press email.
Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops participated in a school choice panel presentation sponsored by the America’s Future Foundation. Stoops recently published an article in the Inside ALEC publication titled “High School Graduates: Quantity over quality?”
The Senate GOP promoted Director of Fiscal Policy Studies Sarah Curry‘s column assessing North Carolina government’s revenue outlook.
