We’ve only had 37 cent stamps for a few low inflation years, but the US Postal Service is about to ask that first class postage be raised to 39 cents. You can read a nice economic analysis here.
Congress ought to repeal the statute that protects USPS from competition in the delivery of first-class mail. It’s economically harmful and unconstitutional to boot.
