State legislators in Utah commissioned an audit to estimate the cost of educating undocumented immigrants. It concluded that Utah spends between $63 million and $98 million to educate between 11,000 and 17,000 illegal immigrants. So, they sent a letter to Utah’s congressional delegation and the U.S. departments of Immigration and Education requesting “reimbursement to the state from the federal government of costs resulting from their failed immigration policy.”

North Carolina needs this kind of leadership.
