What kind of place is Philadelphia that they charge you
to go there? Haven’t we learned from state and local governments here
that you only go where they give you incentives? Try calling the
curator, Mayor Street, or Governor Rendell and see if you can get a tax
free trip and maybe a nice free hotel room, maybe mention that Cherry Hill is offering to buy your plane ticket if you stay there. It’s not like you really have to have another offer.

On
a tangentially related note, Old Salem will close on Mondays and raise
the price of adult admission from $21 to $22 because of declining
tourism. Visitors are down 4% from last year. Given how successful
those high taxes and fees were in getting you to Philadelphia, maybe
Old Salem needs to raise its price more. That should drive demand
(away).
