While the N&O just learned about the Saturday story that VW was considering Rocky Mount for a North American plant, Automotive News has moved on to report that North Carolina is not in the running. The summary for the subscribers only story from Monday says


Volkswagen has narrowed its search for a North American plant site to the states of Georgia and South Carolina and will announce its choice by the middle of this year, according to company insiders.


Not sure of the Georgia sites, but Anderson is the location under review in S. Carolina.
